The Valley Gem is adjacent to the Ohio River Museum, on the 600 block of Front St. The boat is docked on the Muskingum River, under the Washington St. Bridge. (the blue bridge). The parking lot is also located under the bridge. Ignore all other listed addresses and use:601 Front St with GPS and map programs.

From I-77S Exit 1: Bear right. You will be on Pike St. (Rt.7 S) Get in the straight right hand lane. Follow Pike Street, which bears left and turns into Greene St. From Greene, make a right-hand turn onto Front St. Go approx. 1 mile down Front St. Make a left-hand turn to park under the blue bridge. Occasionally, (such as during the Sternwheel Festival) part of downtown will be blocked off for a festival. From Greene St.  Make a right onto Third St. (or Fourth). Turn left on Scammel and Right onto Front St.  

 

From I-77N Exit 185: Turn left at stop sign. Stay straight. Go over green Williamstown Bridge. Make left onto Greene St. Turn right onto Front St. Go 1 mile down Front St. Turn left to park under bridge. Occasionally, part of downtown will be blocked off for a festival.  From Greene St.  Make a right onto Third St. (or Fourth). Turn left on Scammel and Right onto Front St.  

 

From St. Rt. 7 N: As you enter Marietta on Rt.7, you will come across the Washington St. Bridge. Make a right hand turn onto Second St. Then, make a right onto Knox (Buses make a right onto Wooster). Next make a right onto Front Street. Turn left to park.

 

From Rt.60 {Exit 6 on I-77 will lead you to 821S which will lead to Rt. 60S (left turn at stop light)}

Follow through two stoplights. The road will split approximately a half mile after the Best Western.Take the right fork of the road onto Front St. Follow Front St. until you see a blue bridge that crosses over the road Turn right to park under bridge.

 

In times of high water, (we’ll let you know) the boat will be located at the Marietta Levee on the Ohio River, near the Lafayette Hotel.

HIGH WATER DIRECTIONS:

From I-77S Exit 1: Bear right. You will be on Pike St. (Rt.7 S) Get in the straight right hand lane. Follow Pike Street, which bears left and turns into Greene St. From Greene, make a left-hand turn onto Third Street.  Park where you can and walk towards the river. Look to your right and you will see  the Valley Gem. Walk towards us.

 

From I-77N Exit 185: Turn left at stop sign. Stay straight. Go over green Williamstown Bridge. Make left onto Greene St. From Greene, make a left-hand turn onto Third Street.  Park where you can and walk towards the river. Look to your right and you will see  The Valley Gem

From St. Rt. 7 N: As you enter Marietta on Rt.7, you will come across the Washington St. Bridge. Make a right hand turn onto Second St. Drive for about 1 mile. You will reach the river. The parking spaces to your right are probably the closest to the boat, but if you are able-bodied please make a left. and park further up.

From Rt.60 {Exit 6 on I-77 will lead you to 821S which will lead to Rt. 60S (left turn at stop light)} This road changes  names from 60 to Muskingum to Third St. Keep going straight. There is parking between Greene and Ohio streets.  Park where you can and walk towards the river. Look to your right and you will see The Valley Gem (unless she is cruising)

WHEELCHAIR OR WALKER ACCESS: CAREFULLY DRIVE DOWN THE BRICK ROAD IN FRONT OF THE LAFAYETTE THAT GOES DOWN TO THE RIVER. UNLOAD PASSENGERS. PLEASE PARK THE CAR ON THE STREET.

The Gem is closest to the Lafayette Hotel in downtown Marietta, and less than 3 miles from the rest of the hotels in Marietta. Be sure to visit Twisted Sisters Boutique on Front Street for fun and great gifts. FOUND is a great antique store in Harmar Village, on the Westside of Marietta. Don’t miss Barking Dog Books on Front St., across from Muskingum park. Fenton Art Glass is less than 10 minutes away, across the Ohio river, in Williamstown, WV. The Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge facility is only 4 miles from the Valley Gem landing. Marietta is about 120 miles from Columbus, 170 miles from Cleveland, 240 miles from Cincinnati, 90 miles from Charleston, WV
